| Walk a llama Saturday Only The Clark County 4H Luv-A-Lot Llama Club is excited about their upcoming participation at the IFMF on April 30 and May 1. They along with the alpacas and llamas that they show will be at the Clark County Fairgrounds. The club will use this opportunity to educate the public on their wonderful fiber camelids. For the very young, the club has prepared lacing activities with alpaca yarn. For mini-4Hers, children grades K-2, they will have the supplies necessary to complete two different projects, Llama and form. For the adventurous, they will have obstacles that are used in the performance class set up and for a donation visitors will be able to guide the llama through the course. The proceeds of the donations will go to the Clark County 4H to help subsidize awards given at the Clark County Fair. Lastly, the club will be demonstrating how to process the alpaca fiber. They will use a fiber drum carder, drop spindles and a spinning wheel. Stop on in at the Walk a llama booth in the Barnaby Building. |
